बाढ़ से जूझ रहे 414 शहर
रियो डी जेनेरियो। ब्राजील इन दिनों प्राकृतिक आपदा से जूझ रहा है। ब्राजील के दक्षिण में स्थित रियो ग्रेनेड डो सुल राज्य में बीते एक हफ्ते से ज्यादा समय से भारी बारिश के चलते बाढ़ आई हुई है। इस बाढ़ के चलते करीब 100 लोगों की मौत की खबर है। बाढ़ से साढ़े 14 लाख लोग प्रभावित हुए हैं। दो लाख लोगों को अपना घर छोड़ना पड़ा है। ब्राजील की सिविल डिफेंस एजेंसी के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, बाढ़-बारिश के चलते अब तक 99,800 घर आंशिक या पूर्ण रूप से तबाह हो चुके हैं। ब्राजील के राज्य रियो ग्रेनेड डो सुल राज्य में बीती 29 अप्रैल से भारी बारिश का दौर चल रहा है। इसके चलते राज्य के 497 शहरों में से 414 बाढ़ से जूझ रहे हैं।
यह राज्य ब्राजील का कृषि और पशुपालन करने वाला शीर्ष राज्य है। अर्जेंटीना और उरुग्वे के बॉर्डर पर स्थित यह राज्य बारिश और बाढ़ के साथ ही तूफानों से भी जूझ रहा है। एक अनुमान के मुताबिक इस बारिश और बाढ़ से करीब 4.6 अरब रियाल का आर्थिक नुकसान हुआ है और बड़ी मात्रा में आवास और आधारभूत ढांचे को नुकसान हुआ है। मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के अनुसार, 130 से ज्यादा लोग अभी भी लापता हैं। मौसम विभाग ने अभी और बारिश होने को अनुमान जताया है, जिससे हालात और भी खराब हो सकते हैं। बारिश के चलते नदियां और तालाब लबालब भरे हुए हैं। पोर्टो एलेग्रे शहर बाढ़ से सबसे ज्यादा प्रभावित है।
