धरातलीय रिपोर्ट तैयार करने के लिए SDRF और NDRF की 8 सदस्य माउंटेनियरिंग टीम झील पर जाएगी. शुक्रवार को इस टीम को चमोली से रवाना किया गया है जो कि शनिवार को वापस आएगी. रास्ता पूरी तरह से टूट जाने के चलते टीम में माउंटेनियरिंग से जुड़े जवानों को ही भेजा गया है. टीम पता लगाएगी कि आखिर झील से खतरा है या नहीं या झील कितनी बड़ी है. फिर झील का पानी खुद ही निकलेगा या फिर झील को तोड़ना पड़ेगा.
डीजीपी अशोक कुमार का कहना है कि टीम कल वापस आएगी जिसके बाद आगे का एक्शन प्लान तैयार किया जाएगा. डीजीपी का कहना है कि सैटेलाइट द्वारा कुछ इमेज देखने को मिल रही हैं लेकिन झील का सही में साइज क्या है और कितनी गहरी है, इसका पता लगाने के लिए टीम भेजी है. गुरुवार को ऋषिगंगा में पानी का स्तर बढ़ा हुआ देखने को मिला है. टीम को भेजा गया है वो अपनी रिपोर्ट देगी कि जो झील बनी है, उसका आकार कैसा है और क्या भविष्य में ये झील नुकसानदेह होगी या नहीं.
आगे का प्लान भी इसी के मुताबिक तैयार किया जाएगा. आपको बता दें कि पहाड़ों में अक्सर देखा गया है कि झील-ग्लेशियर के मुहाने पर बनती है. वो अक्सर खतरा पैदा करती है. इसके लिए जरूरत है कि मोरेन पर बनी झील से जल्द पानी निकास हो. अन्यथा आने वाले समय में खतरा पैदा कर सकती है.
